UNCLOUD workshops: shaping anti-vaping messages

This is an EOI form and we will contact you if you are selected for the project

The opportunity

YACVic will run one online workshop and one in person workshop for up to 10 young people (aged 12 - 17) with a diverse range of identities and backgrounds. You can participate if you can attend one or both workshops.

You will draw on your lived experience, unique perspectives and expertise in these workshops.

 We will explore:

  • The first time someone offered you a vape

  • How people ask you to vape

  • The types of places you’re being offered a vape

  • What kinds of things help you to say no

  • The best places to see anti vaping messages

Two workshops will be held on

  • Wednesday 8 July, on Zoom, 2pm - 4pm

  • Friday 10 July, at VicHealth, Level 2/355 Spencer St, West Melbourne VIC 3003, 11am – 2pm (lunch provided!)

What to expect

  • Beforehand you will be asked to read through the agenda and any pre-reading

  • There will be approximately 10 young people in each workshop

  • Workshops will include large and small group discussions. Plus, some activities.

  • We may use platforms or programs like Mentimeter or Miro for activities.

  • We will have breaks every hour

  • Staff from YACVic and VicHealth will be running the session, taking notes and observing.

  • The workshops will be recorded, and people will take notes. This information will be kept on YACVic’s secure systems.

You can fill in this form to express your interest if you:

  • Are aged 12 to 17 years old and live in Victoria

  • Have never vaped or vape occasionally (once a month)

  • Keen to share your experience with vaping

You can email a video or audio file to Sam, SChampion@YACVic.org.au
